Apostle Marilyn Williams-Thornton, a licensed, ordained, and consecrated Apostolic Overseer of Heritage International Ministries, Inc., former Pastor of High Calling In Christ Christian Center, and licensed attorney.    Apostle Thornton was anointed to carry forth the Word of God through a healing, deliverance, evangelistic and teaching ministry to the nations.  She has witnessed many miracles, healings, deliverance, and thousands of souls saved by the hands of God through her ministry.   She has taken teams of ministers to preach, teach and minister the gospel of Jesus Christ in the East African countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda and also Liberia and Nigeria, West Africa.  She has also ministered in many countries in the Caribbean and Venezuela, South America.  She serves as a consultant with nonprofit and faith based organizations to build their capacity in providing services to those in need.  She has worked with other ministry leaders to establish churches, provide medical and economic development assistance, and institutions of biblical studies in different countries in Africa.  There are many churches and ministries in fellowship with Heritage International Ministries in several countries.  Her spiritual covering is Dr. Mark Pollard, Apostolic Overseer, Higher Ground Ministries; Atlanta, Ga.  She is a founding member of an Apostolic Council for the Kingdom of God.   She has provided counseling, guidance and teaching to Apostles, Bishops, Pastors and other leaders in the Kingdom of God. 

Since being called into the ministry full time, she has conducted church leadership training, workshops on faith based community development, grant writing, coalition building training, non-profit board of directors training and was instrumental in developing a university based Faith-Based Church Administration Institute.  She has over 25+ years of management level experience with the District of Columbia (as Director of Training & Staff Development DHS), federal government (as Director of Office of Diversity-OPM), and community organizations in the areas of Human Resource Development, Organizational Development and Diversity.   Called by God in the five-fold ministry gifts; she was licensed to preach; ordained as an Evangelist and Pastor; consecrated and elevated as an Apostle.  She has preached before many congregations, and taught ministry leaders in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, California, South Carolina, Florida, Washington, DC, Virginia, Maryland, US Virgin Islands, St. Kitts, Jamaica, Trinidad, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria and Venezuela. 

A native of Louisiana; Dr. Thornton returned to Louisiana after working in the Washington, DC area for over 20 years.  She received a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law School, a Masters of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts from Howard University.  She is the blessed natural mother of Niani and Marinique and grandmother of Amani and Amir.  She is called a mother in Zion and has many spiritual sons and daughters throughout the world.   Dr. Thornton believes that each person has as a birthright in this life to fulfill the purpose for which God created them.  For her, she is joyously fulfilling God’s purpose for her life to the Glory of God.
