Heritage International Ministries in collaboration with
Christ the King Christian Center,
Rehoboth Christian Center, the Baton Rouge African American Museum; The
African American Male and Female Institute, and other Churches and Ministries
in the Baton Rouge area to host an event entitled: “Let’s Talk”- Drumming & Dialogue in acknowledgement of the historical
struggles and trauma inflicted upon a race of people during the African slave
trade in Louisiana.
This theme of “Let’s Talk” will be highlighted as we
communicate through drumming to commemorate the 400 years of the beginning of
the Slave Trade that brought trauma and atrocities to millions of people
throughout the African Diaspora. We have
continued the battle to heal from the impact of slavery over many
generations. Now we work together to
heal, forgive, reconcile, transform and
celebrate the culture of a people.
